Jashan, the upscale Indian restaurant that opened in Plano's Legacy North less than a year ago, is now listed in the Michelin Guide.
The restaurant at 7401 Lone Star Drive, Suite B120, earned a Recommended listing in the 2026 Michelin Guide Texas, which Michelin released on Oct. 8. The Dallas Morning News reported Friday that Jashan is the first Indian restaurant in Dallas-Fort Worth to receive a Michelin listing and the only Plano restaurant in this year's guide.
Recommended is a tier below Michelin's stars and its Bib Gourmand designation, the News noted. According to the paper, 24 North Texas restaurants made the Recommended list this year, and Jashan is one of five newcomers.
What the inspectors wrote
Michelin's write-up describes Jashan as an ambitious take on refined Indian dining that draws on India's royal culinary traditions. The inspectors singled out a tomato and raw mango rasam, a shiso patta chaat, a long-simmered dal makhani, and biryani and saag they said were handled with control. They also noted an extensive wine list and cocktails such as a mango chutney negroni.
The guide lists the restaurant in its $$$ price range.
A first-year restaurant
Jashan opened in November 2025. Its owner, Prasanna Singaraju, spent 21 years in the tech industry and recently graduated from culinary school, the News reported, and the executive chef is Ramesh Thangaraj. Singaraju told the paper he was grateful for the recognition, saying, "I used to dream of this."
