Plano, Texas — Dallas added Jett Howard on a two-way contract July 20, the Mavericks said, after seeking waivers on Tyler Smith.
Howard was drafted 11th overall by Orlando in 2023 and spent three seasons with the Magic. Dallas identified the guard-forward as 6-foot-8 and 215 pounds.
In 2025-26, Howard played 55 games for Orlando and averaged 5.5 points. The Mavericks did not disclose the agreement's terms.
The deal is for the coming season, according to Hoops Rumors, and uses the two-way opening created by Smith's exit.
