Plano, Texas — Jennifer Ridgeway is the Dallas Mavericks’ new chief impact officer, an executive position overseeing community outreach and charitable work for the franchise.
She joins the Mavericks after leadership work with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. Sports Business Journal identified Mavericks President Ethan Casson as her reporting executive.
The appointment puts Ridgeway in charge of the club’s corporate social-responsibility strategy, philanthropy and community engagement, according to the two independently reported accounts.
The Mavericks’ Dallas home arena is about 20 miles southwest of Plano, linking the NBA club’s regional community work to North Texas residents.
