Three busy intersections along Parkwood Boulevard are lined up for about $6 million in work, according to a project the City of Plano registered with the state.
The filing, logged Oct. 2 in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's accessibility database, covers Parkwood Boulevard where it meets Parker Road, Park Boulevard and Headquarters Drive. It lists the city project number S-00013 and describes the scope as "multiple intersection, sidewalk, and BFR improvements."
The record sets a start date of June 1, 2027, and a finish date of June 1, 2028, and says the project uses public funds. It lists the City of Plano as owner and Lamb-Star Engineering LLC as the design firm. The filing's status reads "Review Complete." No construction contractor is named, and the filing does not say whether lanes would close during the work.
Guardrail program
A second city filing, registered Friday, Oct. 9, describes guardrail improvements at multiple locations around Plano under the name "Traffic Guardrails Requirements - 2026" and project number PW-S-00047. That record estimates the cost at $600,000 and schedules the work from Dec. 31, 2026, through June 28, 2030. The city is listed as both the owner and the designer, and the locations are not itemized.
