Plano law enforcement officers arrested a 64-year-old Dallas man on Wednesday, July 8, on charges related to the continuous sexual abuse of a child. The suspect has been identified as Paul Campbell, who is employed as an elementary school teacher within the Plano Independent School District.

According to a department news release, the arrest followed an investigation led by detectives into allegations made by a student. The student reported that Campbell engaged in inappropriate physical contact with the child while at Brinker Elementary School. Based on this account, authorities secured an arrest warrant for Campbell.

Campbell is currently being held in the Plano City Jail. The investigation remains active and is being handled by the police department’s Special Victims Unit. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the specific nature of the charges beyond the initial accusation or the timeline of the alleged incident.
