Frisco is about 12 miles northwest of Plano.
City officials have shared an early conceptual design for the Northwest Community Park that includes a structure dedicated to gravity riding for cyclists. The proposed facility would be located directly south of the upcoming PGA Frisco headquarters.
Initial renderings displayed a tower standing approximately 100 feet tall. However, presenters clarified that the actual construction would likely result in a smaller structure. The estimated price tag for a 100-foot version was listed at $2.43 million. Officials noted that the total cost would decrease proportionally if the tower is built at a reduced height.
The gravity riding tower is one of several new fixtures planned for the park. The concept remains in the early stages, with the final dimensions and budget yet to be determined.
