Maman, a French-inspired café brand from New York City, is scheduled to open a Plano location at Legacy East on Aug. 7. The café will be at 7200 Bishop Road, Suite D, and will be the company’s third location in North Texas, after Park Cities and Lakewood.
The opening day includes an 8 a.m. ribbon-cutting. The first 100 customers who buy something will receive a free tote and a chocolate-chip cookie. From 1 to 3 p.m., Charmed Haven will host a charm bar, where the first 50 customers who spend at least $15 will get a croissant charm at no charge.
The Plano café covers 2,650 square feet and has indoor seating for 78 people. A 430-square-foot patio adds space for 34 more guests. The café is planned for all-day use, including coffee, lunches and meetings.
The menu will include pastries made in house, espresso drinks, tea, salads, sandwiches and seasonal items. Customers also will be able to use the maman app for pickup and delivery orders. Co-founder Elisa Marshall said the company is expanding in the Dallas area with the Plano café and said Legacy East has “an incredible energy and strong sense of community.”
Several items are being created for the North Texas market. They include the Magnolia Sweet Tea Fizz, made with magnolia bud tea, Topo Chico, Texas wildflower honey syrup, lemon and mint; the Lone Star Cinnamon Bun with vanilla glaze and a pastry star; and the Salted Caramel Pecan Pie Roll with Southern pecans and salted caramel.
The interior will use maman’s South of France-inspired design, including vintage furniture, wood finishes and blue toile details, with bluebonnet-inspired floral work from Floratorium.
