A 57-year-old man from Grayson County, Charles Dewayne Ford, has been charged with several drug-related offenses following a complaint of drug trafficking at his residence on Anneta Road. The incident occurred on July 2, 2026, and involved assistance from the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Kentucky Probation and Parole.

Law enforcement officials reported that during the investigation, they discovered a marijuana grow operation in Ford's closet, along with suspected packaged methamphetamine intended for resale and $2,000 in cash. Authorities noted that Ford attempted to conceal marijuana by placing it in a Ziploc bag and hiding it among other items in his closet.

Additionally, officers found a notebook that contained evidence related to narcotics trafficking and marijuana cultivation. Ford was subsequently arrested and taken to the Grayson County Detention Center.

He faces multiple charges, including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for possessing two grams or more of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana (five plants or more) as a second or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

Notably, Ford was previously convicted in September 2022 in Edmonson County for trafficking in methamphetamine and is currently on probation until 2030. The investigation into this case is ongoing, and further details have not yet been provided.
