Namkeen Hot Chicken is preparing to launch its first Texas location in Plano this fall. The new restaurant will occupy a 1,626-square-foot space at Beacon Square, situated at 565 Coit Road. The opening is scheduled for the autumn season, according to a company news release.
The establishment offers Nashville-style fried chicken that incorporates flavors drawn from Pakistani cuisine. The brand name derives from the Urdu word for savory. Its menu items involve buttermilk-marinated chicken that is breaded and cooked with a mixture of South Asian spices, blended with the heat profile typical of Nashville hot chicken.
Founded in New Jersey in 2020, the chain has since opened locations in New York, Georgia, and Canada. The company began its franchise expansion program earlier this year, and the upcoming Plano site will operate as a franchise.
Beacon Square is an 83-acre mixed-use development that includes more than 500 apartments alongside retail and office spaces. Other businesses planned for the site include Stella's Ice Cream, Sleek Crêperie Café, and Livewell Animal Hospital.
