Road closures are scheduled in Plano on Sunday to facilitate the demolition of the former ESD campus. The site is being cleared to make room for a new AT&T facility.

The closures will begin at 7 a.m. and are expected to last until approximately 9:30 a.m. Drivers should avoid Parkwood Boulevard between Legacy Drive and Tennyson Parkway. Legacy Drive will also be closed between Parkwood Boulevard and Hedgcoxe Road during this window.

City officials have warned that nearby residents may hear loud noises or feel brief vibrations during the controlled demolition. A city spokesperson stated that these sounds are part of the planned operation and do not require emergency services. Residents are advised not to call 9-1-1 if they experience these effects.

Public safety personnel, including police and fire-rescue staff, will be present on site throughout the operation. The city is urging people to stay clear of the controlled demolition area and to follow instructions from officials.

Further details regarding the timeline for the new AT&T campus construction were not provided in the initial announcement.
