The Plano City Council voted on July 27 to approve a $500,000 incentive package for Daisy Brand LLC, a food manufacturer recognized for its sour cream and cottage cheese products. The financial support is designed to facilitate the company's relocation of its corporate headquarters to a new facility located at 5850 Granite Parkway.

The approved package requires the company to meet specific performance benchmarks to receive the funds. According to city documents, Daisy Brand must invest a minimum of $10 million in property improvements by December 31, 2027, to qualify for the incentive.

Founded in 1917, the company currently maintains its headquarters at 12750 Merit Drive in north Dallas. A successful move to Plano would represent another significant corporate shift from Dallas to the neighboring city. This development follows AT&T Inc.'s decision earlier this year to depart its longtime location at Whitacre Tower in favor of a new billion-dollar headquarters situated on the former Electronic Data Systems campus.

Daisy Brand did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the council's decision. However, the company previously outlined expansion plans for the Dallas-Fort Worth area last year. Those plans included the renovation of an existing 27,000-square-foot warehouse and the construction of a new two-story innovation center spanning approximately 29,000 square feet at 2025 Wall St. in Garland.

Details regarding the specific timeline for the headquarters relocation or the exact nature of the new 54,498-square-foot office space are not yet clear. Further information on the implementation of the incentive agreement is also not provided in the available records.
