Construction on the Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano has reached a significant phase, marked by a topping-out ceremony held on July 24. The event, hosted by The Beck Group, signifies that the structure has reached its highest point, according to company officials.
The $117 million project is situated at 6501 Legacy Drive in Plano. It will serve as the inaugural Texas property for Miyako Hotels & Resorts and only the third location within the United States, following existing sites in Los Angeles and Torrance, California.
Kintetsu Enterprises Company of America is developing the boutique hotel, which is scheduled to welcome guests on October 1, 2027. The property aims to merge Japanese hospitality standards with contemporary Texas design elements. General Manager Alejandro Vazquez stated that the goal is to offer a venue where business, social events, and lodging are integrated seamlessly.
The facility will contain 217 guest rooms alongside extensive event capabilities. Planned amenities include 7,000 square feet of meeting space and a 5,000-square-foot ballroom suitable for conferences and private functions.
Dining options will feature a signature Japanese restaurant, an upscale lobby bar, a Texas-inspired rooftop lounge, and a Japanese bakery. Outdoor areas will consist of a landscaped courtyard, an outdoor pool, and terraces with dining spaces. The building’s exterior will utilize modern glass and reflective water features.
