The Dallas Cowboys have signed former All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller to a one-year contract. Miller, who is recognized as the NFL’s active leader in career sacks, announced his signing through an Instagram post, stating, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
A native of DeSoto, Texas, which is approximately 25 minutes south of Dallas, Miller has a strong connection to the area, having played college football at Texas A&M. He enters his 15th NFL season after spending the previous year with the Washington Commanders, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks over 17 games.
Miller's impressive career includes two Super Bowl championships, one with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and another with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He was drafted second overall by the Broncos in the 2011 NFL Draft and has also played for the Buffalo Bills.
Throughout his career, Miller has accumulated 138.5 sacks, placing him tied for 13th all-time alongside Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, who also played for the Cowboys.
In addition to his sack total, Miller boasts 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles across 203 games. He has earned eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors.
