Baylor University has announced its official depth chart ahead of the upcoming game against Auburn, revealing several key position battles that will impact the team's lineup.

One notable competition is for the third wide receiver position, where Jadon Porter and Dre'lon Miller are listed as co-starters. Miller, who transferred from Colorado, missed some practice time due to injury but was expected to be a significant contributor to the offense.

Porter, who had nine receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown last season, has emerged as a strong contender for playing time, indicating that even if Miller starts, Porter will likely play a crucial role this season.

The offensive line lineup has largely matched expectations, with Koltin Sieracki taking over at center following Yakiri Walker's NCAA eligibility issues. The starting offensive line will consist of Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Sieracki at center, Asher Hale at right guard, and Kaden Sieracki at right tackle.

Kaden, the only returning full-time starter, has solidified his position, while the other transfers have integrated into the lineup.

Defensively, the depth chart highlights battles at nose tackle and strong safety. Hosea Wheeler, a transfer from Indiana, is in a competitive situation with Jamaal Whyce Jr. at nose tackle, while Jacob Redding is listed alongside Devin Turner at strong safety. Both Wheeler and Redding are expected to play significant roles this season, although neither has been confirmed as a starter.

At tight end, Matthew Klopfenstein has been named the starter over Florida transfer Tony Livingston. Klopfenstein, who caught eight passes for 73 yards and a touchdown last season, will take on a more prominent role in his fourth year with the team. Livingston is anticipated to contribute as well, but his exact role remains to be seen.

As the Bears prepare for their matchup against Auburn, these position battles will be closely monitored by fans and analysts alike, shaping the team's strategy for the season opener.
