Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has suggested Dallas could make roster upgrades as injuries affect the defense before the team’s Sept. 27 game against the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro.
Jones first raised the possibility after the Cowboys’ win over Washington, telling reporters that an older person with money can be dangerous. During his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan, he confirmed that the remark referred to potential football-related moves and said he would spend to improve a team he views optimistically.
Jones also praised defensive tackles Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark, describing them as foundational players in the middle of the defense. The source did not provide details about a specific trade or signing.
Cornerback Cobie Durant and safety PJ Locke are expected to miss multiple weeks. Durant has a hamstring strain, while Locke has a torn plantar fascia.
