Trevon Diggs, a former cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. This marks the second cornerback acquisition for the Seahawks this week, following their signing of Terrion Arnold, who is facing serious legal issues.

At just 27 years old, Diggs is a two-time Pro Bowler with a career total of 20 interceptions and 63 passes defended. His addition comes as the Seahawks deal with injuries in their secondary, and he is expected to compete for a significant role on the team.

Diggs previously signed a five-year, $97 million extension with the Cowboys in July 2023, but his performance declined over the next three seasons, during which he participated in only 22 of 51 regular-season games. He was released by the Cowboys and subsequently claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers shortly after.

His tenure with the Cowboys ended after a series of incidents, including a mysterious injury he sustained at home and a request to remain in the D.C. area with family after a game, which the team denied. Following these events, he was waived by the Cowboys shortly thereafter.

Further details about his future with the Seahawks and his role on the team have not yet been provided.
