Baylor will start Nate Bennett at quarterback for the second consecutive game after DJ Lagway was ruled out because of an ankle injury. Bennett is set to play against Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
Lagway, who transferred to Baylor from Florida, sustained the injury during the Bears’ season-opening loss to Auburn. He also missed Baylor’s game against Prairie View A&M last week after being listed as doubtful before the Louisiana Tech matchup.
Bennett passed for 314 yards and was responsible for four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M. He also threw two interceptions in that game.
Louisiana Tech will also make a quarterback change. Starter Blake Baker is unavailable with a hand injury, and Trey Kukuk will take the starting role for the Bulldogs.
