Spann-Ford was set to enter restricted free agency in 2027. His salary for the current season was listed at $966,666. The new contract secures his status with the team beyond that period.
The former Minnesota Golden Gopher joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2024. Since arriving, he has appeared in all 34 games played by the squad. He has established himself as the team's second tight end, taking that role from Luke Schoonmaker, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 draft.
Statistically, Spann-Ford has recorded 18 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown. Despite modest receiving numbers, he has been a consistent presence on the field. Over the last two seasons, he has been on the field for 25.5 percent of the team's offensive snaps.
