Houston Texans wideout Jaylin Noel is cleared to play in the team's upcoming season opener. The player, who has been dealing with hamstring and finger issues during the early stages of training camp, is not included on the injury report released Wednesday for Week 1.
Noel is expected to be active for Sunday's matchup against the Buffalo Bills. As a second-year receiver, he is currently competing for playing time behind established starters Nico Collins and Kayshon Boutte. Boutte joined the roster recently via a trade.
The competition for snaps in the receiving corps also includes Xavier Hutchinson. Noel's return to full health adds depth to the group as the team prepares for the start of the regular season.
