Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins remains uncertain for the team's Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals after missing practice Thursday and Friday with a hamstring injury. The game is scheduled for Sunday.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport discussed Collins' status Friday on “The Pat McAfee Show,” saying the receiver sustained a hamstring issue earlier in the week and did not practice Friday. Rapoport said the injury is not believed to be serious, but described Collins' availability for the game as unfavorable given the consecutive missed practices.

Collins was injured during Wednesday's practice, according to information attributed to NFL insider Adam Schefter. Schefter also reported that team doctors did not consider the injury serious, while Collins' ability to play against Cincinnati remained uncertain.

The 27-year-old entered the 2026 season after recording more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of the previous three seasons. In Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills to open the season, Collins caught seven of 10 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Collins' official status for Week 2 has not yet been announced. If he does not play, the source noted that he could be available for Houston's Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27. ClutchPoints reported the update.
