Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins remained sidelined by a hamstring injury Thursday, his second consecutive practice listed as a non-participant. His status for the team’s Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts has not been finalized, with one practice remaining before Sunday’s matchup.
Collins sustained the injury while preparing for Houston’s Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals and did not play in that contest. The Texans are scheduled to face the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The 27-year-old receiver opened the season with seven receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets during Houston’s 36-31 home loss to the Buffalo Bills. Collins, a former Michigan player, had 1,117 receiving yards in 2025 and has reached at least 1,000 yards in each of the past three seasons.
If Collins cannot play, receivers Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson and Kayshon Boutte could receive more opportunities in Houston’s passing game. Tight end Dalton Schultz has led the team in receiving production through two games, with 16 catches for 175 yards.
