The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall as they prepare for their upcoming preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, shortly after Hall participated in a workout with the team.
Hall, 28, previously played for the New York Jets before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has played in 40 games, starting 26. Throughout his career, he has recorded 122 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, and half a sack.
His experience and versatility are expected to provide valuable depth to a Texans secondary that is currently dealing with several injuries.
The Texans are facing significant roster challenges as multiple players are sidelined, including Tank Dell, Jaylin Noel, and Brevin Jordan, among others. Many of these injured players are key contributors to the special teams unit, making their absence particularly impactful.
