Houston Texans right tackle Trent Brown reportedly returned to practice Thursday after sitting out the previous session with wrist and knee issues. The team is preparing for its Week 3 divisional game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Brown has started both of Houston's regular-season games and has appeared on the injury report since the season began because of a lingering wrist injury. The report said his participation keeps his season attendance at 100% if he is available for Sunday’s game.
The Texans selected Brown as their starting right tackle after Braden Smith sustained a foot injury during the preseason and was placed on injured reserve for the first four weeks of the season. Through two games, Brown has been credited with eight pressures, four penalties and one sack.
Houston’s tackle options behind Brown are Blake Fisher, a 2024 second-round pick, and Nate Thomas, who joined the team in a trade made during roster cutdowns. Brown’s return means the Texans are not expected to need either reserve tackle to start against the Colts, based on the report.
Wide receiver Nico Collins did not participate in Thursday’s practice, marking his second consecutive absence this week and his fourth straight missed session. The report did not provide further details about Collins’ status.
