As Baylor's fall camp progresses, the projected offensive starters for the upcoming football season have been identified. With the first game approaching, the lineup appears to be solidifying.
The starting quarterback will be DJ Lagway, who has received positive feedback from coaches since joining the team. Lagway expressed that Waco feels like a new home to him, and he is comfortable in the offensive system under coordinator Jake Spavital, which could enhance his performance.
Dawson Pendergrass is expected to take on the running back role after the transfer of Bryson Washington. Pendergrass, who missed last season, previously accumulated over 670 rushing yards and six touchdowns in his first two years, showcasing his potential as a physical runner and pass-catching threat.
At wide receiver, Louis Brown IV is anticipated to be the primary target, known for his deep route capabilities. He had a successful stint at Colorado State and San Diego State, totaling over 85 receptions and eight touchdowns in the previous season. Alongside him, Dre'lon Miller, a former Colorado receiver, is projected to contribute significantly, having demonstrated versatility in his previous role.
Gavin Freeman, a transfer from Oklahoma State, is set to fill the slot receiver position, bringing speed and agility to the offense, particularly on short routes and returns. The tight end position will be held by Tony Livingston, who joins from Florida and offers both blocking and receiving skills.
The offensive line will consist of several new faces, including Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki as center, and Asher Hale at right guard. Moore is a junior transfer from UAB, while Kibble is a sophomore transfer from Texas. Sieracki, returning for his junior year, will take on the center role after Yakiri Walker's eligibility was denied.
