The Dallas Cowboys made several roster and injury adjustments before their game against the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. Safety P.J. Locke was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury, with the designation allowing him to return, while linebacker Barron was added to the 53-man roster and cornerback Reddy Steward was elevated from the practice squad.
Locke was hurt during the Cowboys’ game against the Washington Commanders. Dallas initially waited before making the roster move, but the team now expects him to miss at least four more weeks.
Safety Malik Hooker also will miss the Baltimore game while recovering from a fractured forearm, and he is not expected back before at least Week 4 against the Houston Texans, though that timing remains uncertain.
Steward was elevated to help at cornerback after Cobie Durant was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Steward played significant snaps for Dallas in 2025 as a nickel cornerback and also saw time at safety. The Cowboys’ available safeties include Jalen Thompson, Caleb Downs and Markquese Bell, while Alijah Clark and Steward are available from the practice squad.
Barron provides additional linebacker depth with DeMarvion Overshown sidelined by a hamstring injury. Overshown was among four Cowboys ruled out of the trip to Brazil, along with Durant, Locke and Hooker. Jaishawn Barham and Dee Winters were also dealing with injuries after the Washington game but completed that contest.
The Cowboys listed Durant, Hooker, Locke and Overshown as nonparticipants in a practice session because of their injuries. Outside linebacker James Houston was a full participant. Among the Ravens’ players who did not practice were Zay Flowers, Trey Hendrickson and Ronnie Stanley.
