Baylor Women's Tennis Welcomes Gao Duanrui to 2026-27 Roster

Baylor women's tennis has announced the signing of Gao Duanrui for the upcoming season.

Baylor University women's tennis head coach Joey Scrivano has confirmed the addition of Gao Duanrui to the team for the 2026-27 season. Scrivano expressed enthusiasm about Duanrui joining the program, describing her as a dedicated athlete with strong mental resilience and a desire to improve. He believes she has significant potential as a tennis player.

Gao Duanrui, originally from Tianjin, China, arrives at Baylor with a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 1,186 and a doubles ranking of No. 1,435. Throughout her career, she has achieved 52 singles victories on the professional tour, including notable wins at the 2026 M15 Tianjin and the 2025 W15 events in Luan and Maanshan.

In doubles competition, Duanrui has reached the quarterfinals five times, with one of those finishes at the 2026 W15 Tianjin and three times at the 2025 W15 Luan, as well as once at the 2025 W15 Maanshan.

Last season, Baylor women's tennis concluded with a ranking of No. 34 in the ITA Year-End team standings. The team participated in its 27th NCAA Tournament, advanced to the second round for the 19th time, and had four players recognized with All-Big 12 honors. Additionally, the program celebrated three ranked victories and had two athletes qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
