He was supported by a steady bullpen effort that included Jose Fermin, Tayler Saucedo, Ben Joyce, and Samy Natera Jr., all of whom retired the side without allowing a run.
The Angels' offense provided minimal support early on. In the first inning, Trout connected on a 418-foot home run to center field, giving Los Angeles a 1-0 lead. That would be the only run the team would score for the remainder of regulation play.
Rangers Break Through in Fourth
Texas tied the game in the fourth inning when Díaz singled to left field. The hit drove in Duran, who crossed the plate to make the score 1-1. Nimmo advanced to second base on the play, setting up a potential rally that would not fully materialize until much later.
The game remained deadlocked at 1-1 through nine innings, forcing extra time. Both bullpens continued to hold their ground, with Luke Murphy and Blake Weiman combining for the final outs of regulation without surrendering additional runs.

The outcome was decided in the 10th inning when Texas finally broke through against the Angels' relief corps. Nimmo led off the frame with a single to right field, moving Lopez to scoring position. Lopez then crossed the plate on Nimmo's hit, giving the Rangers a 2-1 advantage.
