Duran Powers Rangers Comeback
The Texas Rangers snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 on Sunday at American Family Field. Ezequiel Duran was the offensive engine for the visitors, contributing two home runs and a two-run double in the decisive victory. The win improved the Rangers' record to 67-70, while the Brewers fell to 85-52.
Scoring Sequence
The Brewers took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Jacob Bauers singled to right field, allowing Brice Turang to score, followed by Chourio's single to left that brought in Bauers. In the second inning, the Rangers cut the deficit to 2-1 when Luis Díaz’s ground-rule double scored Joey Gallo.
Duran tied the game at 2-2 in the third with a 410-foot home run to left-center field. The Rangers took the lead in the fifth inning when Duran’s ground-rule double scored Langford and Seager. The Brewers pulled within 4-2 in the sixth on a 380-foot home run by Pederson to right field.
Final Inning Surge
The Rangers extended their lead in the seventh inning. Burger reached on an infield single, scoring Nimmo, and Freeman singled to right, scoring Duran to make it 6-2. The Brewers mounted a late push when Sánchez hit a 386-foot home run to center field, scoring Chourio and making the final margin 7-4. The game ended with the Rangers holding on for the win.
Pitching Performance
For the Rangers, Kumar Rocker pitched three innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs while walking four and striking out seven. Tyler Alexander earned the win, pitching two scoreless innings with one walk and one strikeout. Jacob Latz recorded the save, pitching one scoreless inning with one strikeout.
For the Brewers, Dustin May took the loss, pitching four and one-third innings while allowing six hits and four earned runs. Grant Anderson and Bryse Wilson combined for four and two-thirds innings of relief, allowing one earned run between them.
