Giants blanked by Texas pitching
San Francisco's run column never changed Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field, where Cody Bradford worked the longest Texas pitching stint in the Rangers' 6-0 win over the Giants. Bradford went 4 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out five.
Tyler Alexander earned the win, moving to 2-2, with 1 2/3 innings in which he allowed no hits or walks and struck out three.
Rangers break through in the third
Texas built a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third. Nimmo singled to right, scoring Langford for the first run. Foscue followed with a triple to left that brought in Nimmo and Burger.
Díaz then doubled to left, scoring Foscue. Carson Whisenhunt took the loss for San Francisco, falling to 2-3 after allowing four earned runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
Nimmo supplies the lone homer
The game's only home run came in the bottom of the fifth, when Nimmo hit a 350-foot homer to left to make it 5-0. Carson Seymour allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk with two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings. Jason Foley recorded one inning with no hits, no walks and one strikeout.
Texas added its final run in the bottom of the eighth on Lopez's single to center, which scored Burger and moved Pederson to second. Tristan Beck allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk with one strikeout in one inning.
Rangers close out the shutout
Robby Ahlstrom, Chase Silseth and Cole Winn each pitched one inning for Texas. Ahlstrom allowed one hit with no walks and one strikeout. Silseth allowed one hit and one walk with one strikeout.
Winn allowed one hit with no walks and no strikeouts. The final was Texas 6, San Francisco 0, with the Rangers improving to 57-58 and the Giants dropping to 48-67. Attendance was 26,098.
