Rangers’ offense limited
The Texas Rangers were held to one run at Globe Life Field, with Duran’s ninth-inning homer providing their only scoring in a 5-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Texas finished with seven hits against five San Francisco pitchers but did not score until Duran homered to left in the ninth, a 406-foot shot that made it 5-1. The Giants had already built their lead behind Lee, who homered twice and added a sacrifice fly.

Giants build lead early
San Francisco opened the scoring in the second inning. Gilbert singled to right, and Susac scored on a fielding error by right fielder Nimmo, with Gilbert moving to third on the play. Basabe followed with a sacrifice fly to right that brought in Gilbert for a 2-0 Giants lead.
Lee extended the margin in the third with a home run to right center, measured at 410 feet. That was the only scoring until the eighth, when Lee hit another home run to right center, this one measured at 385 feet, to make it 4-0.
San Francisco added its final run in the ninth. Lee hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring McCray and pushing the Giants’ lead to 5-0 before Duran’s homer accounted for Texas’ run.
