PLANO, Texas — Billie Jean Lee, the principal of Plano West Senior High School, has received statewide honors after the Lone Star State School Counselor Association selected her as its 2026 Campus Administrator of the Year, district leaders announced Friday.
The professional organization, serving as the Texas chartered branch of the American School Counselor Association, distributes the annual accolade to spotlight campus administrators who actively champion student counseling initiatives and foster guidance programs. Lee earned the statewide nomination from Plano West lead counselor Tracey Eubanks.
In her nomination remarks, Eubanks characterized Lee as a dedicated champion of guidance personnel who consistently prioritizes resources that assist teenagers with scholastic milestones, personal maturity, and their transition into adulthood. Eubanks emphasized Lee's clear comprehension of the comprehensive guidance framework established by the American School Counselor Association, pointing out that the multi-tiered model presents implementation hurdles without committed leadership.
> "Ms. Lee is a true advocate for programs and resources that strengthen our counseling services, helping students succeed academically, grow socially and emotionally, and prepare for college and careers," Eubanks said.
