Dak Prescott's previous two games had been rough ones, by the Cowboys' own account. Monday night in Philadelphia was clean.
Prescott completed 15 of 27 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions as the Dallas Cowboys beat the Eagles 38-21. His passer rating was 118.1, and the Eagles did not sack him once. ESPN's box score matches that line.
The touchdowns were the 80th multi-touchdown game of his career, moving him past Tony Romo for the most in Cowboys history, according to the team.
Three throws, three drives
Every one of Prescott's scoring passes finished a long march.
The first capped an 82-yard, 10-play drive in the opening quarter. A 35-yard completion to Ryan Flournoy got the drive going, and Prescott found CeeDee Lamb from 9 yards for a 10-7 lead.
The second came after a holding penalty wiped out Tyler Goodson's apparent 91-yard kickoff return and left Dallas at its own 19 in the second quarter. The Cowboys went 81 yards in 14 plays anyway.
Prescott lofted a 21-yard pass to the back corner of the end zone, where George Pickens got away from safety Andrew Mukuba and dragged a foot inbounds to put Dallas ahead 17-14.
Before halftime, Prescott ran the two-minute offense with completions of 13, 21, 14 and 9 yards to set up Brandon Aubrey's 27-yard field goal and a 20-14 edge.
Answering the Eagles
Philadelphia opened the third quarter with a drive of almost 10 minutes, and Tanner McKee's 4-yard pass to rookie Makai Lemon gave the Eagles a 21-20 lead.
Dallas went right back down the field, covering 61 yards in nine plays. Prescott dropped a 16-yard throw over the defense to Lamb in the corner for Lamb's second touchdown, then pushed in on a quarterback sneak for the two-point conversion and a 28-21 lead the Eagles never erased. Lamb finished with five catches for 74 yards.
