Paramount Products & Experiences and Egan Productions put Plano on the family-attraction map this week with a limited-time immersive, not a permanent park.
On Aug. 20, 2026, the partners announced PAW Patrol Rescue Pups: An Immersive Experience will debut this fall at 2712 N Central Expy — just north of I-635 and adjacent to the DART Parker Road station — stay through the holiday season, then leave for a multi-city tour in early 2027.
Toy Insider described the run as a retail location rather than a theme-park build. Guests walk through Adventure Bay-themed environments, complete rescue missions and hands-on challenges, and leave with themed photo moments; the companies put average visits at roughly 45 minutes to an hour. A presale waitlist is open at PAWPatrolRescuePups.com. Ticket prices, square footage, and capital cost were not disclosed in the announcement.
Why a touring immersive still moves the local ledger
Short-run branded experiences compete differently than destination parks. They lean on existing retail corridors, transit adjacency, and holiday visitation windows rather than multi-year construction payrolls.
Jason Egan, owner of Egan Productions, said in the release that he has "always loved spending time in the Dallas-Fort Worth area" and was "excited to kick off the experience in Plano." Marie Marks, Paramount's SVP of Global Experiences, framed the product as letting families "become their own rescue team" inside Adventure Bay.
A national kids franchise chose a Central Expressway address for its launch market.
Local television coverage, including CW33's Plano announcement page, is circulating the location hook. The primary paper trail remains the Paramount-Egan EIN Presswire release and trade follow-ups from The Toy Insider and Licensing.biz.
Plano's place inside a wider North Texas kids cluster
Plano's temporary product lands into a metro that already hosts several permanent, branded family destinations. Universal Kids Resort opened July 1, 2026, in Frisco on a roughly 97-acre Dallas North Tollway site that includes about 32 acres of park plus a 300-room on-site hotel, aimed at ages about 3-8.
KidZania Dallas — branded Dallas but physically inside Stonebriar Centre at 2601 Preston Rd. in Frisco — has operated since its November 2019 grand opening as an indoor role-play "city" of about 85,000 square feet for kids roughly ages 4-14.
On the Tarrant side, Merlin Entertainments' PEPPA PIG Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth opened March 1, 2025, on about 14 acres in North Richland Hills next to NRH20 Family Water Park, with Malibu Jack's later joining that same city's indoor family pipeline.
Dallas Morning News coverage in June 2026 cast Universal Kids as entering a "rapidly growing" North Texas family entertainment sector that already included Peppa Pig in North Richland Hills and Six Flags Over Texas. Visit Frisco's Marla Roe has pointed to a roughly five-hour drive radius reaching Houston, Austin, and San Antonio and a tilt toward family hotel demand.
