FIND Regional Food Bank and Bank of America recently held a special gathering to recognize their long-standing collaboration at the FIND Food Security Campus in Indio. The event focused on the bank’s ongoing contributions to hunger relief, workforce development, and community resilience within the desert region. A key feature of the celebration was the unveiling of new signage on the campus grounds, acknowledging the financial support provided by the bank.
The gathering included community leaders, supporters, and representatives from more than nine nonprofit organizations based in the Coachella Valley. These groups work alongside FIND to address food insecurity by distributing food, connecting families with supportive services, and ensuring that children, seniors, and other residents have access to nutritious food and essential resources.
Earlier this year, Bank of America provided FIND with a $500,000 grant. This funding is designated to complete the expansion of FIND’s 40,000-square-foot warehouse. The expansion is intended to increase the organization's capacity to serve families, children, and seniors experiencing food insecurity.
Sherri Anderson, Bank of America’s president for the Inland Empire, stated in a press release that the demand for FIND’s services is rising alongside population growth and increasing costs in the Coachella Valley. She noted that the bank is proud to help add needed capacity, describing FIND as an organization that offers wellness programs, wraparound services, and workforce training to help individuals achieve stability. Anderson added that the investment helps maintain the flow of fresh food during emergencies, thereby building community resilience.
Over the past five years, Bank of America has invested nearly $700,000 in FIND Regional Food Bank. This support has aimed to strengthen food access and essential services across eastern Riverside and southern San Bernardino counties.
Debbie Espinosa, president and CEO of FIND Regional Food Bank, said the partnership has strengthened the organization’s ability to serve families in the desert region while building long-term sustainability. She described the support as an investment in the health, stability, and future of the communities served.
