Tonawanda police have charged a local man with robbing a Bank of America branch on Delaware Avenue. Officers responded to the location, situated near Sheridan Drive, around 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to police, 47-year-old David Gadt handed a note to a bank employee demanding money. Authorities stated that no weapon was seen or displayed during the incident. It remains unclear whether Gadt successfully took any cash from the bank.
Law enforcement located Gadt in a vacant building in Buffalo shortly after the alleged crime. He has been charged with one count of first-degree robbery and is currently being held pending arraignment.
