Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) announced a leadership change in its executive ranks, appointing Niki Allen as the new chief information officer. The role is designed to support the company’s technology strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and broader goals related to vehicle electrification and future mobility.

Allen will assume her position on Sept. 8. In this capacity, she will oversee enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data capabilities, and artificial intelligence operations. Her mandate includes directing overall technology operations to support the business’s strategic objectives.

Prior to joining Toyota, Allen served as chief information officer for Boeing Global Services (BGS). In that role, she directed technology and digital strategies that supported global customers and facilitated safe, efficient flight operations. She also implemented digital tools and capabilities intended to enhance workforce productivity and operational excellence across the organization.

Before her tenure at BGS, Allen held the title of chief IT and operations officer for Boeing. This position gave her global responsibility for enterprise technology infrastructure and workplace solutions that supported nearly 200,000 employees and partners worldwide.

Allen holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Information Systems from Southern Illinois University. She also possesses technical certifications in Data Analytics and Technology Strategy from Villanova University.

Within the Toyota Motor North America structure, Allen will report to Kim Cockrell, who serves as senior vice president, chief human resources and administrative officer. The company noted that this appointment is part of its ongoing efforts to drive growth and advance its commitment to sustainable mobility solutions across its U.S. operations.

Toyota Motor North America employs about 4,938 people in Plano, according to local government records.
