Rock Hill had cut the gap to five points. Plano East had an answer, and then kept adding to it.

The Panthers beat Rock Hill 48-15 on Friday, September 4, at Tom Kimbrough Stadium behind four touchdown passes from Josh Gordon and three touchdowns from Treyce Seldon. Gordon threw for 177 yards, while Seldon produced 204 total yards, according to the Murphy Monitor's game report. Local reporting

The crucial stretch came around halftime. With Plano East leading 20-15 late in the second quarter, Seldon helped set up another touchdown before the break. He then scored on a 40-yard run during the Panthers' first possession of the third quarter.

That is the difference between the final margin and the game's turning point. Plano East first had to answer a threat before it could run away with the result.

The Panthers are 2-0 after opening with a 55-21 win over Mesquite Horn. South Grand Prairie is next on September 11. For Plano East fans, the early attraction is clear: an attack that has already put 103 points on the board. Results and schedule
