Plano ISD Rated 67 Campuses and None Received an F

Plano ISD earned a B in the 2026 Texas accountability ratings with an overall score of 85, and across 67 rated campuses not one received an F.

The distribution runs 22 A ratings, 27 B, 13 C and five D.

Where the weak campuses are

All five D-rated campuses are elementary schools: Memorial Elementary at 61, Barron Elementary at 63 and Jackson Elementary at 65 among them.

That concentration is consistent with a pattern visible across the region this year, where secondary campuses generally outperformed elementary campuses in the same districts.

At the top, Plano Academy High School scored 98, followed by Beverly Elementary at 96 and Rice Middle School at 95.

The domains

Plano scored 86 in student achievement and 82 in closing the gaps, both B ratings. School progress came in at 81, also a B.

Academic growth was the weakest measure at 79, a C.

Reading a district this size

Plano ISD enrolls 43,805 students across 69 schools, making it one of the largest districts in the region and one with a long-established reputation.

A district-wide B built from 49 campuses rated A or B, with no F anywhere in the system, is a different result from a B built by averaging extremes. The five D campuses are the exception in this report rather than a competing story, though they are the schools the district's own next steps will most likely address.
