Plano ISD students return to class Tuesday, Aug. 11, the first day of the 2026-27 school year.
Finding your bus
Families whose students qualify for bus service can look up their own route through My Ride K-12, the district's transportation platform.
It shows three things parents usually want the night before: the route number, the scheduled stop times and the stop locations.
There are three ways in, and they reach the same information:
- the My Ride K-12 website
- the My Ride K-12 mobile app
- Skyward Family Access, which links through to the same platform
The district's transportation page carries step-by-step instructions for each route in.
If something does not look right
Plano ISD's dispatch call center handles bus questions directly at (469) 752-0792.
That is the number for stop locations, route questions, and My Ride K-12 login help, including username and password problems. Student Transportation Services is at 600 Seabrook Drive.
The district asks families with ongoing questions to contact the transportation department rather than the campus, since routing is handled centrally.
The district is hiring drivers
Plano ISD is recruiting bus drivers and bus assistants, and directs applicants to its employment page. The district says it will announce future job fairs on the transportation page.
Driver shortages have been a recurring pressure on start-of-year routes across North Texas districts, and staffing levels affect how quickly early-year route adjustments settle.
