Three dining establishments have opened their doors in Plano over the past few weeks, with two additional venues scheduled to launch later this year. The new and upcoming locations span a variety of cuisines, from Chinese smokehouse fare to Greek skewers and customizable noodle bowls.

Yang’s Smokehouse began serving customers on June 19 at 240 Legacy Drive, Suite 306. The menu features meat skewers including sliced beef, pork belly, lamb, and chicken wings. Diners can also order grilled vegetables, fried rice, stir-fry, noodles, and ribs. An "Adventurous Eats" section lists items such as spicy roasted pig brain.

A second venue opened on June 17 at 2104 Preston Road. This location specializes in fried chicken and offers five spice levels, ranging from mild to a level described as "Shut the Cluck Up!" Non-spicy choices include classic Southern fried chicken and sweet and smoky dry rub options. Popular items include a classic chicken sandwich with custom sauce and pickles, as well as "dirty bird fries" topped with pimento mac and cheese. Dessert selections feature banana pudding, peach cobbler, and a waffle sundae.

A third establishment opened on June 13 at 5973 West Parker Road, located in the West Plano Village development near Parker Road and the Dallas North Tollway. This site occupies the space formerly held by Kona Grill, which closed in June 2025. The business will serve wings and sandwiches.

Looking ahead, a restaurant known for Kalamakia—Greek meat skewers made with chicken, pork, lamb, or vegetables—will open in September 2026 at 1016 E. 15th St. The venue, which already has a location in Anna, will also offer soups, salads, gyros, and wraps.

Additionally, Yo! Bowl is set to open in mid-July at 4701 W. Park Blvd., Suite 105. The restaurant will provide customizable bowls featuring mifen, a traditional southwest Chinese rice noodle. Customers will be able to choose their preferred broth, protein, vegetables, toppings, and spice level.

Further details regarding specific opening dates for the September and mid-July locations were not provided.
