Cowboy Chicken is holding a weeklong grand opening celebration for its new Plano restaurant, located at 8245 Preston Road. The event runs from July 13 through July 19 and includes a schedule of daily discounts, food promotions, and community outreach activities. Although the establishment quietly began serving customers in May, this week marks the official launch of the location.
The seven-day schedule features distinct promotions for each day. On July 13, children can dine free with the purchase of an adult entrée after 4 p.m., limited to dine-in customers. The following day, members of the Wild West Rewards program receive a 20 percent discount on their orders. Guests can join the rewards program either online or inside the restaurant.
July 15 is designated as Fire Department Appreciation Day, offering local firefighters a 50 percent discount on dine-in meals with valid identification. The restaurant will also host a touch-a-truck display for families. On July 16, the menu will feature throwback pricing, with select items sold at their original 1981 rates to honor the chain's founding year. This promotion is also restricted to dine-in patrons.
On July 17, the restaurant will host a meet-and-greet with the creators of the social media account @BlondesWhoEat. Attendees can sample a signature creamy green sauce during the lunch service. The celebration concludes on July 18 and 19 with a fundraiser for Carry The Load, a nonprofit organization that honors military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. Cowboy Chicken will donate 20 percent of proceeds from these two days to the charity.
The new Plano site occupies a 2,500-square-foot space with capacity for approximately 75 to 80 guests. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. The location is operated by franchise partners Aaron White and Dan Saso. It provides dine-in service, takeout, online ordering, and delivery. The restaurant is situated near Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway, aiming to serve nearby residential and commercial areas.
