DrSnip, a Seattle-originated medical clinic, has established its first Texas facility in Plano, marking its expansion beyond the Pacific Northwest. The new location at 1316 Village Creek Drive, Suite 600, focuses exclusively on vasectomies, a service typically found within broader urology practices. The clinic aims to provide a specialized alternative for men in Collin County seeking this specific procedure.
The Plano office is led by Dr. Robert Brown, who utilizes a technique that avoids the use of scalpels and needles. According to the clinic, the surgical portion of the appointment lasts approximately 15 minutes, with the total visit time generally under one hour. The facility accepts most major insurance plans to help reduce financial barriers for patients.
DrSnip CEO Jeffrey Cho stated that the company was founded to address the anxiety and uncertainty many men feel regarding vasectomy care. Cho emphasized that the clinic’s model is designed to create a calm and respectful environment, hoping that positive patient experiences will encourage others to consider the procedure. The company describes its approach as closer to a boutique medical visit than a standard clinical appointment.
A public grand opening event is scheduled for July 23, running from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments, giveaways, and clinic tours. Physicians will be present to answer questions from community members and healthcare partners.
