A new dining concept called Wonder is preparing to expand into North Texas, with a specific location planned for McKinney. The company, which operates as an app-based platform, allows customers to combine dishes from more than 20 different restaurants into a single order. The menu features made-to-order items across various culinary styles, including collaborations with chef Bobby Flay and establishments like Tejas Barbecue, as well as Wonder’s own concepts such as Pop Salad.

The McKinney site is scheduled to open within the West Grove development. According to a filing submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the space will cover approximately 3,800 square feet at 8555 W. University Drive, Ste. 100. The company estimates that construction costs to finish the interior will reach $950,000. An exact opening date has not yet been established.

Wonder’s physical locations typically provide dine-in and pickup options, along with complimentary delivery services. The company currently operates more than 100 sites across ten states, primarily along the East Coast. A company representative confirmed that Wonder intends to launch over 100 new locations in Texas starting in early 2027 as part of a broader regional expansion.

McKinney is located about 13 miles north of Plano. Further details regarding the specific timeline for the McKinney opening remain unclear.
