Frisco police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Frisco Athletic Center on the evening of June 29. The incident involved juveniles who are enrolled in Frisco ISD. Frisco is about 12 miles northwest of Plano.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 8 p.m. By the time law enforcement arrived, the suspects had already fled the area in a blue and white Ford Bronco. Investigators were able to trace the vehicle to a nearby resident. The Bronco was later located at a fast-food restaurant situated a few miles from the athletic center.
During the investigation, officers spoke with individuals connected to the vehicle. They determined that the person carrying the handgun was not present at the restaurant location. Detectives and school resource officers assisted with the preliminary investigation. Police stated that the individuals involved have been identified as students enrolled in Frisco ISD.
The Frisco Police Department issued a news release confirming the details of the case. Officials stated that all parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions. The department is asking anyone with information about the case or related offenses to contact them.
