The Frisco Police Department is requesting public assistance to investigate a robbery that took place at the Frisco Athletic Center on June 29. The incident occurred in the facility's parking lot around 8 p.m. and involved a firearm, according to a social media post released by the department on Wednesday.

Responding officers learned that the robbery followed a pre-arranged meeting between the parties involved. The suspects departed the scene in a blue and white Ford Bronco before law enforcement arrived. Investigators later determined that the vehicle belonged to a nearby resident and located it at a fast-food restaurant a few miles from the athletic center.

Officers interviewed the occupants of the Bronco but found that the individual carrying the handgun was not present in the vehicle. Detectives and school resource officers subsequently conducted a preliminary investigation which revealed that the individuals involved are juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD.

The police department stated that all parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding this case or related offenses to contact them.

Residents can call 972-292-6010 to provide tips. Anonymous information can also be submitted by texting FRISCOPD and the tip to 847411 or through the Frisco PD app.

Frisco is about 12 miles northwest of Plano.

Further details regarding the specific charges or the current status of the juveniles involved are not yet clear.
