Allen retained the top spot in the Class 6A area rankings following three-set victories over Plano East and Prosper. The team is currently ranked No. 5 nationally by MaxPreps. In the win against Prosper, Maya Ogbogu, a Texas A&M pledge and the top-ranked player in the Class of 2028, recorded 13 kills.

Olivia Kitur and Soleil Rhodes each contributed nine kills, while Landry McRae provided 41 assists.

Several top teams have been missing key players due to international competition. Sophee Peterson of Byron Nelson and Nyla Livings of Prestonwood Christian were in Nicaragua assisting the United States in the NORCECA U23 Pan Am Cup.

The U.S. team secured the title for the second consecutive year, defeating the Dominican Republic 25-15, 25-10, 23-25, 25-18 on Sunday to finish the tournament with a 6-0 record.

Duncanville climbed one position to No. 6 after defeating North Forney and Mansfield Lake Ridge. This move placed them ahead of Plano West, which dropped to No. 7 after a five-set loss to unranked Northwest Eaton. North Forney entered the rankings at No. 10 following a four-set victory over Rockwall-Heath, which had previously held the No. 10 spot.

In the Class 5A-others division, Plano Prestonwood Christian stayed at No. 1 after sweeping Fort Worth Nolan. Taylor Johnson, an SMU pledge, and Nyla Livings combined for 26 kills in that match.

McKinney North rose to No. 3 after winning three-set matches against Melissa and Nevada Community, while Celina joined the list at No. 8 after a four-set win over Lovejoy, which subsequently dropped out of the rankings.

The current top ten in Class 6A includes Allen, Trophy Club Byron Nelson, Hebron, McKinney Boyd, Flower Mound, Duncanville, Plano West, Wylie, Mansfield, and North Forney. In Class 5A-others, the top ten consists of Plano Prestonwood Christian, Argyle, McKinney North, Frisco Reedy, Highland Park, Frisco Memorial, Bishop Lynch, Celina, Colleyville Heritage, and Aubrey.
