Frisco is about 12 miles northwest of Plano. The Business Journals reported on Mayor Mark Hill’s views about the city’s next stage of growth, including the challenge of continuing to expand with less available space.
Hill, who was newly elected mayor, said Frisco should pursue corporate investment more aggressively. He also said the city needs to address infrastructure challenges and make more deliberate decisions about what is built as its remaining land decreases.
Hill identified Frisco’s highly educated workforce as an asset that could help the city maintain its standing in economic development. The discussion also focused on balancing additional growth with limited land.
