Feast Buffet, a dining establishment known for serving over 200 daily menu items, is preparing to open a new location in Plano. The restaurant, which originally opened in Katy near Houston in late 2022, will occupy a new construction site at 1680 N. Central Expressway. While initial timelines suggested completion by July 2026, interior work was still ongoing as of recent verification.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the Plano project represents an estimated $2 million investment and will span nearly 20,000 square feet. The chain’s flagship location in Katy is larger, featuring a 24,000-square-foot dining room capable of seating 700 guests in a style reminiscent of Las Vegas buffets.
The menu at Feast Buffet draws from four distinct culinary traditions: Chinese, Japanese, American, and Mexican. Diners can access a sushi and sashimi bar offering items like octopus nigiri and salmon sashimi. A dedicated seafood station provides options such as steamed blue crab, Cajun crawfish, baked mussels, baked salmon, and frog legs. A live hibachi grill allows guests to prepare Mongolian-style dishes.
Additional menu sections include Chinese favorites like coconut shrimp and General Tso's chicken, Mexican staples such as caldo de res, tacos, menudo, and tamales, and American selections including brisket, barbecue ribs, chicken wings, and mac and cheese. The restaurant also maintains separate salad and dessert stations.
