Plano police have taken a former educator into custody following an arrest warrant served on Wednesday, July 8. The suspect has been identified as Paul Campbell, 64, who resides in Dallas.

Authorities stated that the warrant was issued after a student reported inappropriate physical contact at Brinker Elementary School within the Plano Independent School District. Investigators are accusing Campbell of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Campbell was processed and booked into the Plano City Jail. Police confirmed that the investigation is still active.
