Three individuals listed on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list were taken into custody during separate operations in Houston, Plano, and Hidalgo. The arrests involved coordination among local, state, and federal law enforcement units.
In south Houston, 53-year-old Leroy Lewis Jr. was arrested on June 22 at a residence. DPS special agents from the Texas Anti-Gang Center collaborated with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Houston Police Department, and the Texas attorney general’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit to locate him. Lewis had been wanted since March on a Harris County warrant for failing to comply with sex offender registration. He was previously convicted in the 1990s of murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated kidnapping, serving 35 years before being paroled in 2012.
On June 24, 64-year-old Kenneth Wayne Patterson was arrested at a Plano apartment complex following a tip. DPS agents, Plano police, and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force made the arrest. Patterson had been wanted since December 2025 on a Dallas County warrant for registration violations. He was convicted in 1989 of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl and sentenced to eight years in prison.
Also on June 22, 32-year-old Eduardo Quinones Fuentes was arrested at the McAllen-Hidalgo International Bridge after returning from Mexico. U.S. authorities took him into custody. Fuentes, identified as a Tango Valluco gang member, had been wanted since October 2025 on parole and obstruction warrants. A Hidalgo County warrant for registration violations was issued in November 2025. He has prior convictions including aggravated assault, sexual assault, and human smuggling.
